First held in Vancouver in 1999, the Courage To Come Back Awards were born out of our firsthand experience of the human spirit’s inspiring capacity to overcome adversity and our wish to celebrate British Columbians who have found the courage to come back.
The Courage To Come Back Awards are given in five categories:
- Mental Health
- Addiction
- Medical
- Physical Rehabilitation
- Youth
Courage To Come Back Award recipients are recognized every spring, where their stories are told and accomplishments honoured. Chaired by Lorne Segal, O.B.C., D.Litt. (Hon.), LLD. (Hon.), President of Kingswood Properties Ltd., the Courage To Come Back Awards have become Coast’s most important fundraiser.
Funds raised from the Courage To Come Back Awards ensure Coast Mental Health can continue providing the innovative, client-centered programs that have made Coast a leader in community-based mental health care.
